We decided to hold an outdoor service at the Hoyt Arboretum Shelter located in the west hills of Portland. Chad always enjoyed being out in the woods and I imagine he sat at these very picnic tables before so we thought it appropriate. Please dress accordingly as the forecast shows a chance of rain with temps in the mid 60's. In the event that it does rain an A-Frame style room will keep some of the dampness out, and to assist with any warmth issues we will have two patio propane heaters present.
For those of you who would like to contribute food you are welcome to bring finger food type items where in the event it gets too yucky outside packing up won't be a problem. You can find a running list of items that people might be bringing here...
To navigate to Hoyt the best address to use is the Info Center which is located directly across the street. There are two parking lots a small one in front of the shelter and a larger up above next to the Info Center. We would like to keep the closer of the two for our elderly friends and family.
